Capital Ideas begins two-day look into what’s next for state transportation funding

This morning we kicked off our long-awaited Capital Ideas conference in Denver, Colorado. As the federal government continues to kick the can on addressing the insolvency of the Highway Trust Fund, more states are taking it upon themselves to secure stable transportation funding and ensure the money is spent wisely.

This trend won’t be stopping anytime soon, which is one reason why people representing 30 states and the District of Columbia are in Denver to discuss successful campaign strategies for getting state legislation passed, the multitude of funding options and sources, and the future of funding and finance for transportation in the United States. The conference is happening now, but you can download the agenda to see the full list of stellar experts we’ve lined up as well as the issues facing states, regions and towns that we’ll covering today and tomorrow.
